The Ethos & Vision
Living Simple is an unscripted, international documentary series hosted, created, and directed by Chandler Borries. The project is designed as an antidote to the hyper accelerated, notification heavy digital landscape. Rather than chasing algorithmic trends, the project invites audiences to slow down and examine how human beings reconnect with their surrounding environments, local communities and deliberate living.
Production & Locations
Rooted in over a decade of global travel across more than 55 countries, the series combines cinematic commercial framing with raw, intimate human portraits. The pilot episode is currently being produced in Chandler's hometown along the Mississippi Gulf Coast, establishing the series' core framework. Future episodes will be shot in remote coastal and mountain regions across international destinations, including Taiwan, Chile, Portugal and South Africa, focusing on individuals and localized communities opting out of modern consumerism.
